Joy often hides in plain sight.
We spend so much time waiting for big events to bring us happiness that we miss the quiet moments that hold the most meaning. A warm cup of coffee. A kind word from a stranger. Sunlight on your face.
As the poet Mary Oliver wrote, “Pay attention. Be astonished. Tell about it.“
Today, set an intention to notice three small moments of joy. Write them down if you are able to. This simple practice trains your brain to seek beauty in the ordinary.
