It’s time to start engineering your own happiness!
Sound good? I love saying “I am the engineer of my own happiness!” It reminds me that I have the power to create my own focus in life, to see what works for me and do more of that. By “what works” I mean what actions and behaviors help me connect to meaning and purpose, create healthy relationships with others, and have experiences that brings me peace and progress in life. Any of those outcomes or any combination of them result in my feeling hopeful and secure in life.
Every “I am” statement you make is like writing a line of code in your subconscious mind. It’s kind of like writing a blueprint for your subconscious mind to follow.
It’s like drawing a line in your happiness life blueprint. Your happiness has 100% more to do with how you see the world than how the world sees you! It has 100% more to do with how you respond to the events in your life than what those events are. We create our happiness by learning to put our focus and awareness where we are and where we love!
There are a lot of ideas we are going to touch on some and go into depth on others, and its really up to you to explore what works best for you. A good approach would be to read and view one lesson and then make a plan to implement something from it in your life right away.
It’s important to have a bias towards action. We learn by doing! We get more done by doing more! We can more easily behave our way into new thinking than we can think our way into new ways of behaving. You will get out of this what you put into it.
This course in much the same way as life, is about effort, persistence, learning and our attitude. Take tiny steps and have some fun with it. Maybe use this as a way to take breaks from scrolling social media. 🙂

I invite you to see yourself in charge of your own happiness experiencing a happier life! Before we get too much further I invite you to take a moment and practice entering into a deeper state of relaxation. We learn more and more efficiently when we are relaxed.
Take three long deep breaths feeling your breath go into and out of your nose and stomach. With each breath say to yourself “I am am calm” “I am feeling peaceful” “I feel so relaxed”. Take slow long deep steady breathes in and out.
Now in your minds’ eye with your eyes closed (Not while driving!), visualize yourself enjoying this course and finding it shifting your life into a positive place of growing happiness. See yourself smiling each time you watch, read and participate in these happiness lessons. Imagine the feeling of experiencing a sense of real progress and happiness in your life.
Imagine, visualize or pretend in your mind’s eye that you see yourself with greater inner peace and calm, more good things happening in the way you want them to and enjoying being part of this happiness community! Energy goes where attention flows. Your mind will help create momentum in your life where you place your focus and vision.
Great job! You can do this type of visualization process for any new habit or activity you want to begin in your life. You are a Happiness Engineer and a programmer of your own self-improving design and rewarding life.
